While challenges like inadequate funding and rural disparities certainly exist, they do not fully account for the systemic failures plaguing the educational system. The reluctance to acknowledge this truth stems from a collective denial, fueled by a desire to evade confronting the root causes of educational inequity. Indeed, bureaucrats, who often dictate educational policies, remain detached from the classroom realities, lacking firsthand experience as educators. Their ignorance perpetuates a cycle of misdiagnosis and ineffective solutions, further exacerbating the plight of Colombian education.
